RE: City of Atchison Municipal Judge Opening
As many have heard, the City of Atchison’s current Municipal Judge, the Honorable Patrick Henderson, was recently appointed by Governor Laura Kelly to a judgeship position in the 1st Judicial District. The City is proud of Judge Henderson’s many years of service and we wish him well in this new role!
To that end, the City Manager is soliciting letters of interest for our Municipal Judge opening from attorneys regularly admitted to practice law in the State of Kansas, as required under K.S.A 12-4105.
Letters of interest and any additional documentation may be sent to City Manager Mark Westhoff at 515 Kansas Avenue, Atchison, KS 66002. The deadline to submit a letter of interest for consideration is the end of business on Monday, November 10th, 2025.
