2025 Annual Report
Since 2005, the number of alarms has increased 108% (70% in the last 10 years) while our operational capacity has decreased with the loss of 2 administrative positions over that time. We also consolidated our Hazmat Response trailer with one of our reserve Engines and gifted the trailer to the City’s Water Department. Our call volume continued at a busy pace with all types of incidents in 2025. We continue to see a growing culture of non-life-threatening type calls from our citizens and assisted living facilities. We have diligently been working on programs and protocols to vet these types of calls to lessen the burden on our fire apparatus and personnel with some visible success with total incidents being down 6% over last year. However, fires, hazard investigations and motor vehicle accidents have increased. We continue to work with all industry in our community and residential development that are evaluating the area for possible growth. We’re proud to say that once again we were free of any vehicle accidents as our driver/operator training proves to be successful as in years past. Our response time continues to improve as shown in the following table. We continue to be innovative in community risk reduction and the changing landscape of the community needs, adapting our training and response to new trends we see in the types of fires and accidents we encounter.
