City Launches New Economic Development Resource Platform

Building on recent economic development success in the Atchison community, the City of Atchison has launched a new internet-based resource called Grow Atchison. The site is meant to guide entrepreneurs, small business owners, real estate developers and potential investors through the various programs and resources that are available to help them succeed in the Atchison community.

“We started this project because we wanted to build a more ‘customer focused’ resource center for our economic development programs,” said Assistant City Manager Justin Pregont.  “We wanted a better way to share information about our projects and programs. We’re looking to continue our aggressive approach with economic development efforts and this platform is going to be a great tool for us in doing so.”

The newly launched www.growatchison.com showcases resources for businesses and individuals in a myriad of ways. Some of the resources featured on the new site will help with finding real estate, securing financing, developing a business plan, finding training, joining a support group of peers and hiring employees. More than anything, Grow Atchison is an effort to provide as many tools as possible to help businesses succeed in this community – and to make those tools accessible to the biggest possible audience.

Atchison’s own Webcom Resources was contracted by the City to develop the Grow Atchison website.
