Berger Named Vice President of State Association

City of Atchison City Manager Becky Berger has been named the 2020 Vice President of the Kansas Association of City Managers.

The selection was made at the organization’s annual meeting in December, held in Garden City this past year.

Berger is in her third year as Atchison’s city manager. She was assistant city manager and finance director in Atchison from 2012-2017, before being named interim city manager in 2017. She earned the permanent position in March of 2018. Before working in Atchison, Berger was assistant city administrator and city clerk in Cherryvale, Kan., from 2007-2012.

Derby City Manager Kathy Sexton is the president this year. As vice president, Berger is in line to be president in 2021.
