Jesse is a lifelong resident of the city of Atchison. He graduated from Atchison High School, then got an Associate degree from Highland Community College. He received his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Benedictine College.
Jesse began his professional career as a teacher for USD 409, teaching junior and senior high. After leaving there, he worked in management at Hallmark Cards, Baxter Travenol Laboratory and Standard Motor Products. He retired after 20 years from Atchison Juvenile Correctional Facility as Director of Training and Staff Development.
Currently, Jesse serves on the board of YARCO (Terrace Hills) and the board of Theatre Atchison. He is the current Facilitator of the Leadership Atchison County program for the Atchison Chamber of Commerce.
