Wastewater Treatment Plant

The City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant receives water from many sources throughout Atchison’s collection system.  The used water comes from homes, businesses, industries, groundwater, surface water and storm water. The Wastewater Treatment Plant goes through numerous stages of treatment to remove contaminants, which includes physical, chemical, and biological processes.
