In Featured News, General News, News

As the City of Atchison and surrounding community prepares for the inevitable Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak locally, community leaders will be hosting an online Question and Answer session at 4 p.m. this Friday, April 3.

The session is designed to address any public concerns about the impact of the virus and the response currently underway throughout the community. The session will include Atchison City Manager Becky Berger, USD 409 Superintendent Renee Scott, Director of Atchison County Emergency Management Wes Lanter, Atchison County Health Officer Lori Forge, and Atchison Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Norma Green.

The meeting will be broadcast on the City of Atchison’s Facebook Page. Questions must be submitted in advance and meeting participants will not be responding to Facebook page comments live. To submit questions for one or all of the panel members, go to https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/GxBUkt.

With the first confirmed case now in Atchison County, community leaders want to ensure that proper information is getting to residents so everyone can do their part to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
