AE Airport Fuel Tank Upgrade & Relocation

Summary: This project will upgrade and relocate the fuel tanks at the Amelia Earhart Memorial Airport. The fuel tank relocation project is required to make way for the construction of a museum to house Muriel, the the last remaining 1935 Lockheed Electra L-10E aircraft in the world. The project is primarily funded by a $208,250 grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation and the required local money ($36,750) will be paid for by the Atchison Amelia Earhart Foundation.

Funding: 85% of the project costs will be funded by KDOT. All remaining costs over that amount will be funded by the Atchison Amelia Earhart Foundation.
