Summary: As a “trial run” for the stamped concrete work associated with the new Amelia Earhart Substation that is currently under construction between 4th Street, 5th Street, Smith Street, and Q Street, Westar had their contractor produce a sample monument sign using the same stamped concrete method. Westar volunteered to place that monument sign on their property at 10th & Main for the viewing pleasure of the public.

Cost: The monument sign was created as a trial run for the stamped concrete that is part of the new Amelia Earhart Substation.

Funding: 100% Westar

Location: The southeast corner of 10th and Main in downtown Atchison.
