Fire Prevention Week is October 6-12, 2024. This year’s FPW campaign, “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™” strives to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home. Learn more about the history of FPW.  If you’re in need of a smoke detector, please call the Atchison Fire Department at 913-367-4329 or email at patw@cityofatchison.com .

You can also schedule a time for a visit by our Firefighters to come evaluate your current smoke alarm or change batteries.

Come see us at the Amberwell Health Fair on October 12th at the Atchison Elementary School. We will have handout material along with fire helmets and bracelets for kids while supplies last. Fire Pup will also be on hand as well as a Fire Truck on display in the parking area.
