After being shut down in mid March due to concerns over the potential spread of COVID-19, playgrounds and equipment at city parks are now open once again.
The city is encouraging residents to continue to take proper distancing and sanitation measures, as the risk of spreading the disease is still considered high. The opening of the parks is part of a phasing in of many services that were limited or restricted previously.
City Hall and the city shop are still available by appointment only, but are scheduled to open to public traffic on Monday, June 8 – assuming that no new protective restrictions are put in place by the state or the county health officer.
