The City of Atchison will be celebrating the retirement of two longtime employees from 3-6 p.m. on Friday with a reception at the Atchison Event Center.
Human Resources Director Lori Moore is retiring after 42 years with the City, and City Clerk Deb Clem is retiring after 16 years. Moore is the longest-tenured employee on the City staff.
“We’ve been fortunate to have these two longtime professionals helping to guide our organization for so many years,” City Manager Becky Berger said. “They’ve had many coworkers through the years and have impacted a number of people throughout the community. It’s only fitting that we celebrate their careers in a way that everyone can participate.”
The reception is open to the public and will take place in the Oak Room on the second floor of the event center. There will be refreshments for guests and a cash bar available.
Friday is the last day of employment for each of the retirees.
