The Mound Street Stormwater Project, which will address longstanding drainage issues in the 600 and 700 blocks of Mound Street, will proceed with construction as soon as next week (12/9/19 – 12/13/19). Pedestrians and motorists will likely notice temporary street closures and detours ranging from 7th Street and 8th Street to Mound Street throughout the project area. For your own safety and the safety of the construction workers, please be mindful and obedient of the on site traffic control.

“With a major asphalt overlay project coming to the 7th Street corridor next summer it was really important for us to first address this major drainage issue,” said Justin Pregont, Assistant City Manager. “This project will look and feel very similar to the Laramie Stormwater Project (800-900 blocks) that was completed about a year ago.”

Locally based Pruett Construction, who bested seven other bidders, was awarded the $306,000 construction contract by the City Commission in October.
