Downtown West Sidewalks

PROJECT COMPLETED IN MARCH OF 2017

Summary: This project will construct and/or replace sidewalks throughout the western part of downtown Atchison. The project is focused between 8th & 10th Street as well as Main St. and Kansas Avenue. For a more detailed description of this project, please review the full staff report presented to the City Commission on October 19, 2015.

Cost: About $310,000

Funding: This project is primarily funded by a $169,000 grant through the federal Community Development Block Grant Program. The grant application was authorized by the City Commission via Resolution No. 3004 on October 19, 2015. The notice of the award was received in January of 2016. All remaining costs over the $169,000 CDBG award will be funded by the City of Atchison.

Location: 8th to 10th, Main St.to Kansas Avenue.
