This program is to allow the participant to witness the role of a firefighter, gain the knowledge of the profession, and importance of firefighters in our community. Participants shall be limited to (2) 12hr shifts or (3) 8hr shifts per year unless approved by the Fire Chief. Hours will be picked between 0800hrs – 2100hrs.
Also Available is an educational internship. This program is offered to local High School and College students on a limited basis through the school. Students can earn class credits while spending time at the fire department. Students are able to participate in training evolutions as well as responding to call along with fire personnel (depending the type of call) and learning about the daily tasks of a working fire department.
